Helen Deakin - biff Adjudicator
British & International Federation of Festivals

Adjudicating

Helen is increasingly busy as an Adjudicator, something she thoroughly enjoys. She is on the adjudicator panel of the British and International Federation of Festivals and has also been on the mentor panel for Music for Youth.

As well as being a 1st study pianist and clarinettist, Helen also plays the flute and the saxophone. She has considerable experience of solo and choral singing, of both instrumental and choral directing, and of the string repertoire (her now grown up sons were NYO violin and cello principals). With this wealth and breadth of experience, Helen is happy to adjudicate anything and everything that comes her way!

Recent Music Festivals include:Cornwall, Bedford, Wadebridge, Ballymena, Plymouth, Weston-super-Mare, Yeovil, Saltash, North Devon, Glasgow, Portadown, Taunton Young Musician, Swindon, Isle of Wight, Carrickfergus, Jersey Eisteddford, Southend, St Austell, Mid-Somerset, Bath Young Musician, Coleraine, Newry, Inverclyde, Wensleydale Tournament, Northampton Eisteddford, Cheltenham and Dungannon.

In addition to her extensive festival work, Helen also enjoys adjudicating School Music Competitions and delivering masterclasses.
